French for “the River” offers casual quality dining for the whole family on the ground floor at 9 Bourke Street Maitland in the heritage circa 1888 “Grand Central Tavern Building” Renowned for its checkered past the infamous “snake pit” is now lined with cream walls and spotted gum floors. Wonderful heritage double hung windows dominate the interior while the space which is further warmed by imported French Beechwood timber chairs, decorative plants, antiques and lounge chairs.
The towering ceilings and decorative curved arches combine to offer a relaxing and distinctly European feel to the dining space. Le Fleuve, embodies a fresh approach to casual dining, with a dedicated service team, fantastic affordable wine list and quality hand crafted cuisine housed within this wonderful and cultured space.
